University Heights Store Opening Soon

CLEVELAND, OH – March 11, 2021 – Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc. (“Goodwill”), has had plans to open a new store in the University Heights community last year. However, this was postponed due to the COVID pandemic. Construction has been underway for the past several months on this new retail site.

The University Heights store actually is a move from Shaker Heights. The retail store in Shaker Heights was not reopened after the spring shutdown. The new location is less than two miles from the previous site.

The new store is part of the Cedar Center plaza, which is a busy shopping complex located on Cedar Road in the heart of University Heights. The site has hosted an Attended Donation Center for the past year in effort to help launch the store fully stocked.

“We are excited to bring this new store and donation center to shoppers and donors in the Cleveland area,” commented Vice President of Donated Goods Bryant Taylor.

The store will open with occupancy limits on April 2. There will not be a grand opening day to help limit the number of people in attendance.
