Goodwill to Open Attended Donation Center at Aultman Hospital

CANTON, OH – November 1, 2019 – Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc. (“Goodwill”) will be partnering with Aultman Hospital to open an Attended Donation Center (ADC) on the main campus of Aultman Hospital to benefit the Aultman Hospice and Palliative Care department and Goodwill Industries. The new ADC will open Sunday, November 3, 2019.

Goodwill ADC’s are a drop-off donation centers staffed by Goodwill employees. These trailers are a primary source of goods which are sold in Goodwill retail stores. At the trailer, donations of gently used clothing, as well as common household items such as dishes, small appliances, home décor items, books, movies, games, and toys will be accepted. Items collected at this particular ADC will support both Goodwill and Aultman.

“Both Goodwill and Aultman have served the local community for more than 100 years. This is an exciting partnership between two organizations that are committed to making our community stronger,” shared Goodwill President and CEO Anne Richards. “Material donations to this ADC will help to provide much needed services to the patients of the Aultman Hospice and Palliative Care, and will help to support Goodwill’s own 25 community outreach programs.”

The new ADC will be located on the Aultman Hospital campus in the gravel lot off Sixth Street, with donations being accepted from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and on Sunday’s from 12-5 p.m. The ADC is open to the public and donation receipts will be available. Aultman Hospital is located at 2600 Sixth St. S.W. in Canton
