Goodwill Opens New Donation Center in Massillon

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is opening a new attended donation center in Massillon on Lincoln Way East on Friday, April 7, 2023. The first 100 donors that day will receive a free gift.

Goodwill Donation Centers are drop-off donation centers staffed by Goodwill employees. These locations are a primary source of goods which are sold in Goodwill retail stores. At the center, donations of gently used clothing, as well as common household items such as dishes, small appliances, home décor items, books, movies, games, and toys will be accepted.  Material donations to this Donation Center will help to support Goodwill’s 28 community outreach programs. Last year, more than 18,000 people were served by the local Goodwill’s mission work including job training and placement for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment, parenting programs, rape crisis services and more.

“Donations are our lifeblood at Goodwill,” explained VP of Marketing and Development Maureen Ater. “Donation Centers like this provide much needed material for our area stores. Sales from those stores go directly back into the local community through our mission work.”

Goodwill currently has a tremendous need for clothing and household items.

The new center is located at 2102 Lincoln Way E, Massillon, Ohio 44646 next to the GetGo gas station. Donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. every Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sundays.
