Goodwill Opens New Donation Center in Jackson Township

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio (“Goodwill”) is opening a new attended donation center in Jackson Township on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Goodwill Donation Centers are drop-off donation centers staffed by Goodwill employees. These locations are a primary source of goods which are sold in Goodwill retail stores. At the center, donations of gently used clothing, as well as common household items such as dishes, small appliances, home décor items, books, movies, games and toys will be accepted. Material donations to this Donation Center will help to support Goodwill’s 30 community outreach programs.

Last year, nearly 17,000 people were served by the local Goodwill’s mission work, including job training and placement for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment, parenting programs, rape crisis services and more.

“Donations are our lifeblood at Goodwill,” explained VP of Marketing and Development Diane Pilati. “Donation Centers like this provide much needed material for our area stores. Sales from those stores go directly back into the local community through our mission work. We are excited to open a donation center in Jackson Township.”

The new center is located at 4140 Portage St. NW, located at the southwest corner of Portage St. and Whipple Ave. Donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
