Goodwill Ken Weber Community Campus to Celebrate 15 Years with Anniversary Open House
The Goodwill Ken Weber Community Campus will celebrate its 15th anniversary with an open house from 7:30 to 10 a.m. October 1. The event will honor the campus’s 15 years dedicated to serving Canton through key partnerships and providing vital resources to the community.
The gathering will kick off with a welcome from Anne Richards, Goodwill’s President and CEO, followed by remarks from community leaders and nonprofit partners, highlighting the campus’s impact over the last 15 years.
“In the 15 years since the campus opened, it has grown to become a huge asset to the community, providing crucial resources to people in need in our community,” said Anne Richards. “The campus has 20 community partners housed here, offering everything from health care to free food and everything in between.”
The anniversary open house will allow guests to take guided tours of the campus and visit with campus partners.
Doors open at 7:30 a.m. for refreshments and networking. The event will kick off with a welcome from Anne Richards followed by remarks from community leaders and nonprofit partners, including Mayor William Sherer, Stark County Commissioner Bill Smith, Goodwill chairperson Katie Spahnie, co-chairperson for the Goodwill Ken Weber Community Campus Capital Campaign Committee Greg Luntz and Goodwill Chief Operating Officer Mark Trew.
There also will be a ribbon cutting for Goodwill’s Mobile Tech Learning Lab with the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Tours and visits with campus partners will begin around 9 a.m.
