Goodwill Industries to open New Gordon Square Location in Summer 2025

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc. (“Goodwill”), is thrilled to announce plans to bring a brand-new retail store and donation center to the vibrant Gordon Square community. The new Gordon Square Goodwill store, located at 6512 Franklin Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44102, will grand open to the public this summer, offering an exciting shopping destination in one of Cleveland’s most dynamic neighborhoods.

“Goodwill is eager to open the doors to our newest retail store, right in the heart of Gordon Square,” said Anne Richards, Goodwill Industries President and CEO. “This is more than just a store opening—it’s an invitation for the community to be part of something bigger. Shopping and donating at Goodwill directly fuels our mission to change lives through job training, employment opportunities and community programs.”

Shoppers and donors at the new Gordon Square location will enjoy a fresh, modern retail experience that mirrors the energy and creativity of the surrounding neighborhood. Whether treasure hunting for unique finds or dropping off gently used items, every interaction with Goodwill contributes to a greater cause.

Beyond offering an exciting and convenient shopping and donating experience, Goodwill is bringing approximately 20 new jobs to the area, further investing in the local economy.

“Goodwill’s new Gordon Square retail store will offer the community a fresh, convenient thrift shopping experience while giving pre-loved items a second life and promoting sustainability,” said Mark Trew, Goodwill COO.  “We want everyone to experience the joy of finding incredible deals while knowing their purchases and donations support real change in the lives of individuals facing barriers to employment.”

With the addition of the Gordon Square store, the local Goodwill now operates 21 retail stores, two bookstores and two outlets throughout its 10-county service area.

Every purchase and donation at Goodwill directly support 30 local outreach programs that change lives. From job training and job placement for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment to family-strengthening initiatives and rape crisis services, Goodwill makes a lasting impact on the community. In 2024, Goodwill served more than 22,000 individuals locally with our mission-based programs.

Shopping and donating at Goodwill isn’t just about great deals—it’s about transforming lives and strengthening neighborhoods.

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is proud to serve 10 counties across Ohio and West Virginia. Join us this summer in Gordon Square to shop, donate, and change lives for GOOD.
