COMPASS Rape Crisis to Host Heroes Event

Canton, OH – July 21, 2022 – COMPASS (Sexual Assault Education, Prevention & Support) (COMPASS) is hosting a fun, family event on July 26 from 3pm – 6pm at Rivercrest Farm in Dover.  The event is focused on uniting to support survivors of sexual assault and how to be superheroes in our community. The open house event will offer a variety of family fun, including yoga class, farm animals, games, crafts, and Toasted Food Truck.  Rivercrest Farm is located at 612 Boy Scout Rd NE, Dover, OH 44622.

Tuscarawas YMCA will be hosting a kids’ craft at 3:30pm and Be Yoga Studio will be leading a yoga class at 5pm.

In addition, local agencies will be on hand with information on health, wellness, and safety in our community.  Agencies exhibiting at the event include:

The event will also feature special 25th Anniversary t-shirts and other recognition of the anniversary milestone of COMPASS serving survivors of sexual assault in our community since 1997.

The mission and vision of COMPASS is to promote the healing of individuals impacted by sexual violence, create social change and to strive for a community where all people can live free of sexual violence. For more than 25 years COMPASS has been serving the Stark, Tuscarawas and Carroll county communities by providing education, prevention and support to schools and organizations.
