Goodwill to Open New Store and Donation Center in Chardon

CLEVELAND, OH – October 3, 2019 – Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc. (“Goodwill”), will be opening a new retail store and donation center in Chardon on October 17. 

The new store will be located at 425 Water St. in the shopping plaza with Pet Supplies Plus and Marc’s. Located in the former MC Sports location, the Chardon location will be the largest retail store for Goodwill of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 9am on October 17 with support from the Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce. The first 100 customers will receive a free gift.

“Goodwill is eager to open the doors to our newest retail store in Chardon,” Anne Richards, Goodwill Industries President and CEO, said. “We’ve already seen great response from the community at our donor center here, and anticipate the store will be a great success.”

Goodwill has been serving Geauga County through its missions programming for many years. This will be its first retail location in Geauga County in more than 15 years.
