Goodwill Industries and local thriftonista Dina Younis from the popular thrift and lifestyle blog, ‘Dina’s Days’ invite local community members to attend a thrifting workshop on August 5 from 11 a.m. – noon at Goodwill’s North Olmsted Store (23100 Lorain Road). ‘Thrift and Brunch’ is a free event designed for shoppers looking to learn the art of shopping second-hand.
“Thrift shopping for the first time can be overwhelming and intimidating. New shoppers may need direction on how to navigate through the store,” Maureen Ater, VP of Marketing & Fund Development at Goodwill said. “Attending a thrifting workshop is a great way get introduced into the fun world of thrift shopping and build confidence when walking into Goodwill.”
Attendees will receive helpful thrift shopping tips and tricks over light fare, tea and coffee. Next, it’s time to put all the new found knowledge to use and head out into the store for shopping with Dina.
Thrift and Brunch is a free event but registration is required. The first 15 registrants will receive a $5 Goodwill gift card.
