Goodwill Carrollton Store Host Grand Re-Opening

The Goodwill Industries retail store and donation center in Carrollton has undergone a facelift over the past few months. The sales floor has nearly doubled in size, new flooring and signage has been installed and now it’s time to celebrate with a grand re-opening to Goodwill customers.

Goodwill first opened a retail thrift store in Carrollton in 1998. Then in 2005, the store relocated to its current site at 709 Canton Road.

“We have received tremendous support from the Carrollton and Carroll County community at this location,” commented Vice President of Donated Goods Bryant Taylor. “This remodel and expansion will provide an even better shopping experience for our customers.”

Although the store has remained opened during much of the construction, its time to commemorate the occasion with a celebratory event on Friday, December 3. The first 100 customers will be greeted with a free prize (no purchase necessary). There will be giveaways throughout the day. And, any purchases made on Friday, December 3 will earn double Good Points. The stores hours are Monday to Saturday, 9m to 8pm and Sunday 11am to 7pm.

Sales generated from this and other area stores help fund 28 different local outreach programs. The local Goodwill Industries provides job training and placement for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment, family strengthening programs, rapes crisis services and more. Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, which operates this store, serves 10 counties throughout Ohio and West Virginia.
