The Black History month is a celebration of the achievements of African Americans in the history of the United States. Consequently, it is also called African American History Month in the United States. It all began in 1915 after the abolishment of slavery in the United States by the Thirteenth Amendment.
Black History Month 2023 in the United States will begin on Wednesday, February 1 and ends on Wednesday, March 1.
This toolkit is provided to the community free of charge by Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio. We encourage you, your classroom, your agency or business to use these tools as a way to elevate awareness and celebrate Black History Month.
